"Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart."
- Elizabeth Andrew (Habitat for Humanity)
The East Lyme Soccer Association (ELSA) is a volunteer-run organization. All coaches, coordinators, and Board members are volunteers working to create the best opportunities for all children in East Lyme, CT to learn, play and enjoy the game of soccer. If you have child playing soccer in town or just love the game and would like to help out, here are some ways to get involved and keep the program running smoothly.
Coaching: We are always looking for good coaches to join the ranks! You can mentor as an assistant coach or jump in with both feet. If you don't have coaching experience or know little about the game, don't worry...there are many resources to get started. ELSA even offers financial reimbursement for accredited courses upon completion. Contact the Boys or Girls Coordinators or Director of Coaching for more information. (see About Us tab for emails)
Attend Meetings: Parents and coaches, you are welcome and encouraged to attend ELSA planning meetings which are held on the 1st Tuesday of every month at the East Lyme Community Center (Olive Chendali Room). Contact the Board President at [email protected] for more details.
Thanks to all the volunteers who keep the youth soccer program
running smoothly in the Town of East Lyme!
